How New Zealand MPs voted on the End of Life Choice Act
The End of Life Choice Act proposes to legalise ‘assisted dying’, which is a euphemism for voluntary euthanasia and assisted suicide.
On 13 November 2019 Parliament ignored the many issues with the End of life Choice Bill and voted to pass it into law. During the September 2020 election New Zealanders will vote in a binding referendum on whether this Act should come into force.
